...for the army brats out there.

So I said I would do a whole huge account of the trip to Ecuador, the trip to the beach, etc. But life's too fun and precious and why spend it all in my rooom on a computer. I've been keeping this live journal pretty well, excluding the late part of this summer. I've just been so busy. This is definately the best summer I've had ever. Could be better with a certain someone but that's not holding me back and I won't let it. I feel free as a bird right now. So I'm justa gonna sum up stuff that has happened lately. Hopefully I can get my pics and I'm thinking about buying a scanner or something. Hmmm... I've been saving up for nothing in particular, cuz I'm really really not a materialistic girl *gasp* I may be the only one of my kind. But I'm starting to look into it, just cuz I like taking pictures but I never know what to do with em. All the pics in my photobucket are either stolen from other people or Ally took them and loaded them on the computer, and I just sent them to myself. So maybe I can splurge. Anways...stuff. I got 3 days done so I'll LJ cut them if I can figure out how. Then I'll just sum up the rest of everything.

So I got together with Stephie, Alissa and Allison B to paint Stephie's basement which was great fun and I was really out of it- I can't remember a lot that I said but some of it was really funny- "I wannna be a bitch!" "You DO have paint in your hair!" etc etc. And it took about 3 days to get all of the paint off me afterwards. THe day after, we suprised Allison B. with a suprise party for her b-day at Alissa's house, but I made a couple of mistakes. BLONDE MOMENT OF LIKE THE MONTH!!: I was going nuts all that day trying to drive Ally and her friend Jessie around and get her a movie and get me ready in time for the party so I was naturally exhausted and out of it. So I got lost trying to find Alissa's house. SO I pull up at the house that I THINK is Alissa's, which has a bunch of cars and the door is open. So me, thinking I'm just late for the suprise party just yell like "hey anybody here? its casey, not the b-day girl!" but no answer. I figure that everyone is just hiding so I walk in. And I'm looking around and realize that the place doesn't look familiar- so I look at these pictures on the counter and realize it's not Alissa's family!! So I run out of there fast as I could and call stephie who gives me weird directions so i eventually called Alissa and got to her house. So I'm so out of it when I get there and I tell them what I did and they're like "hahahahahaha that's so funny okay go in here! *pushes casey into a closet*" And it took a minute to realize that the closet was filled with guys. Which would have been a dream come true except the guys were Ben, Kenny, Mickey (who kept grabbing my ass), Robert (who said we should yell "Yatzee!" instead of "suprise!"), JP (who I had just met), and Mark (who I almost ran over with my car but gave me the biggest bestest hug ever!) !!! FInally we crawled out and yelled suprise to Allison and it was just so fun that whole night, even though I was acting drunk lol. ACTING. keyword ACTING. Sooooo much fun, even if my parents got freaked out about if I was lost badly.

Other stuff recently: Talking a lot to Drew, which is great, working, hanigng with friends, etc. Lots of stuff going on at work, always. One day, Francis kept going around telling everyone that one of the other kids, Karl was killed in a car accident on I-95. Knowing this kid I knew he was joking but it still really shook me up. After Nik and everything, that got to me. I couldn't let it show of course, but it really got me. And I figured out something I think. About how kids view it. Death isn't death. It's like a video game: You don't die- you're just done. And then you get to play again. And so when someone dies, they're not dead. They're just done. And it isn't until they actually lose someone and they see others' reactions that they learn to mourn and learn what dying actually is. How it's not like a video game.

Speaking of: for all my friends who knew Holly-Ann Long, I'm so sorry. If you need me, I'm here.

Just got back from the beach today- it was wonderful as usual. The sun helped me a lot- I now look like a biker chick though. THe hair is much blonder and the skin is now much darker (and redder) but it's a weird combo. Had mucho fun boogie-boarding, bike-riding, and window-shopping. Saw "Collateral" which was absolutely amazing! Maybe the best movie I've ever seen! highly reccommend it. Took the best naps on the beach, and met these really cool college guys from Minnesota, who were really nice considering we are only 16 and 14. Mike, Jim (Jimbo), Keith, Beth, and Brian (twenty point six!!!) and I'm actually gonna really miss them. they seemed like the type of guys that I could have kept in touch with. But we all just shook hands and said goodbye. I hate knowing that I'll never see them again. But it was really fun hanging out with them. Anyways, I also went on the Gravitron at Funland there and didn't totally freak out. I only freaked a little. (I'm not too big with amusement parks, but I luv water parks). But if it wasn't for the song playing I woulda gone nuts. That was how I sorta relaxed, even if I was stick straight the whole time. And Ally and I went into the little kid jungle Jim cuz we're still small enough *grin* oh yea and we totally messed up on DDR in front of a whole crowd but that's okay, we're not Asian. JUST KIDDING!!! Hung out with the neighbors who met us there, and they are adorable. Hearing a 2nd-grader talk about Hooters is always hilarious. And we got him to finally catch a wave on a boogie-board so all was well. It was really fun. I had such a great time and I feel just so wonderful. Even after being sick the whole vacation with a cold and losing my voice and a weird sunburn and getting a toothpick stuck in my hand and my headaches....lol oh well. OH yea- great art show there and I'm gonna try to find this art from this one guy who was awesome and then try loading the pics Ally took and I helped out with of a total purely hippie Volkswagon van. Beautiful lol.

Such a wonderful summer. Olympics is great- we saw Paul Hamm and Carly Patterson win all-around and Michael Phelps win a bunch. He's absolutely adorable!!! Can't seem to find TaeKwonDO anywhere and I missed Judo. grr oh well. Saw a news article in the Metro section today that annoyed me becuase Jews for Jesus annoys me. I do beleive that they are still Jews because there are so many different aspects to Judaism than the messiah issue, but I also think that they are adopting too many Christian beleifs to NOT be converted. Anyone who wants to "lovingly confront me with the the claims of Jesus as the messiah" can deal with a very rebellious girl here. Since I'm talking about annoying things- Dad knows how to press my button- commenting on something in the paper today. Grrrr. Other annoying thing: I've been thinking about Him a whole lot still, but who knows. Maybe everything will turn out once school starts.

Phew! FInally got those out! That's about all in terms of bad stuff which is minimal in comparison to all the great stuff this summer. I sooooo don't want it to end. Make it not end, please. I feel so wonderful. Someone pull on my wings before I fly away.
